Hello Everyone!
As the year draws speedily to a close, let me use this opportunity to wish everyone an Awesome Christmas and a Wonderful New Year full of successes on all fronts. You all have been an important part of 2014 for me. God Bless you for being so.
Speaking of the new year, surely everyone is preparing, especially on how to make the most of it. If you haven't given 2015 a thought then you must be so made that all you want to do next year is chop life and cruise or you must be totally clueless. For real!
Well, I gave it some thought, ok ok, I thought about it a lot and came up with a whole lot of Resolutions. (As an Analytical, I think ALOT!) Maybe 50 actually! Lol! But I gradually narrowed them down to a few, so they would be easy to remember. I hope that they help you to set yours, if you have not made up your mind on what to your resolutions might be.
1. START AND BUILD A RELATIONSHIP
WITH GOD
As a Christian, this is my number
one resolution for 2015 but I must admit it has not always been.
Most of us, in times past and
under several different circumstances in life, have allowed other issues become
priorities in our lives, thereby forgetting we have a creator who yearns for
fellowship with us.
While trying to succeed in life’s
goals, I quickly realized that it is only God whom we can TOTALLY depend on. However, it
doesn’t work just by being a good person and living at peace with all men. You
have to believe in Jesus Christ and accept Him as your personal Lord and
Saviour, obey and practice His commandments, study your Bible, Pray always and
allow the Holy Spirit to guide you.
A relationship with God requires
us as humans to play our part actively. Many temptations will come but by
putting your faith firmly on God, you will always win
RECOMMENDED STEPS
1. Buy
an Amplified Version of the Bible, it is written in modern translations of
the King James, thus it makes understanding what you read way better. This is available at
major bookstores around you or church bookstores and even online for download.
2. Get
yourself a devotional that guides you through daily study. Most major churches
have a published devotional for every year e.g. Open Heavens of RCCG by Pastor
Adeboye, Rhapsody of Realities by Chris and Anita Oyakhilome etc
3. Get
a bible reading plan. Most people have bibles on their phones and tablet PCs,
these online versions have several reading plans to pick from. Some devotionals also have them.
while writing this post this morning, a song came to my mind. Its a song I grew up with from Psalty Series or Psalty Kids, cant really remember, will have to ask my brother. Anyway, the song goes "deny yourself pick up your cross and follow Jesus, He is the way to the Light".
Nuff said! Enjoy your day!
